In 2019, my great aunt passed away, and left us a sweet elderly dachshund in need of a home; his name was Luther. We took him in and he miraculously fit right in with everyone here. He bonded with me and my senior chihuahua immediatly, and would always need to be at my side no matter what we were doing. He loved to take naps and roll around in the grass outside.

Unfortunatly, since we got him when he was already an older dog, we've also been watching his health slowly decline. His eyes went from a beautiful brown to a milky blue, he couldn't move as fast as he used to, he grew multiple tumors all around his body, and eventually became diagnosed with liver cancer. In early Oct. 24', he began to show signs of lung cancer, and I needed to make a decision. Later, I would make the most heartbreaking call I would ever have to make.

On Friday, October 11, 2024, my sweet baby boy crossed the rainbow bridge. For five amazing years he gave me and my family nothing but love, and was the light of my life. It's so hard to express how much he meant to me. Every day when I came home from college, I could always look forward to him waiting for me. I miss you so so much my sweet baby ♥

I hope I can share even a fraction of the love his gentle soul gave me and everyone he met.
